This policy explains how Indoor Wild (indoorwildpets.com) handles personal information in plain English, with an Australia-first approach inspired by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It is not formal legal advice.

Who we are

Indoor Wild / operated for indoorwildpets.com. We sell pet enrichment products online to customers in Australia (and possibly elsewhere).

What we collect

Depending on how you use the Store, we may collect:

Order details — name, shipping and billing address, email, phone, products purchased, payment status (payment card data is handled by Shopify and payment providers; we do not store full card numbers).
Account / contact — email and messages you send us (including to hello@, maya@, jordan@, or sam@).
Device and usage — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, approximate location, and similar analytics data.
Cookies and similar tech — to run the cart, checkout, preferences, and measure how the site is used.

You do not have to provide information, but we may not be able to complete an order without shipping and contact details.

Why we collect it

We use personal information to:

Process and fulfil orders
Send order, shipping, and support messages
Improve the Store and understand what products work
Meet legal, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations
(Only if you opt in) send marketing emails — you can unsubscribe anytime

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information.

We disclose information to service providers who help us run the Store, including:

Shopify — ecommerce platform (may process data in Australia and overseas).
Payment providers connected through Shopify.
Overseas suppliers and fulfilment partners (primarily China / networks such as CJ Dropshipping) — they may receive your name, shipping address, phone, and order contents so they can pack and post your order.
Carriers and tracking services.
Analytics / advertising tools we enable in Shopify or on the site (if active).

Some of these recipients are overseas. By ordering, you understand that fulfilment partners outside Australia may receive the shipping details needed to deliver your parcel.

Cookies

We and Shopify use cookies and similar technologies for essential store functions and, where enabled, analytics or marketing. You can control cookies via your browser; blocking some cookies may break checkout.

Storage and security

We rely on Shopify and reputable providers to host and protect store data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; please use a strong unique password if you create an account.

Retention

We keep order and support records as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal and accounting requirements, then delete or de-identify them where practical.

Subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and exceptions, you may ask us to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct information that is inaccurate
Tell you more about how we handle your information
